Can I provide my own materials for laser cutting?

Should you have any particular material requests other than those listed please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will see what we can arrange for you.

Currently we do not allow you to supply your own materials for laser cutting. The reason for this is that sometimes things go wrong when cutting, so we want to be using a material that we carry extra stock of so that we can recut any problems. This will not be possible if we are only provided with the amount of specific material that should be required for the job.

What is your turnaround time?

We aim to respond to requests for quotes within 1 business day.

Once payment has been received, we will complete and post your project within 2 business days.

If you require express service, please contact us to discuss.

How are my laser cut pieces shipped to me?

Depending on the project, pieces will be shipped in one of two ways:

  • Individual pieces taken out of their cut sheet and placed in a padded postage bag and shipped. This is usually the best option for fewer, larger, or less fragile pieces.

  • Pieces taped in place within their sheet (negative) and the entire sheet is securely wrapped and shipped. This is usually the best option for many small or fragile pieces.

Should you have a preference for either of these methods please let us know at the time of requesting your quote. If no preference is specified, we will use our own judgement to decide which way will be the most convenient and economical for you. This will be decided upon when preparing your quote, which will include the price of shipping.

Please note that it is especially important for you to let us know if you require the negative (eg. leftover acrylic sheet) as part of your project, as it will not always be obvious to us from looking at your files. If they are not shipped, negatives are otherwise discarded.

Backing paper and transfer tape (when applicable) will be left in place for added protection from scratches during transport.

Yes, but please call or email first to make an appointment so we can be sure there will be somebody there to meet you. On appointment, completed jobs may be picked up from our workshop located at:

Unit 8, 10 Jacquard Way, Port Kennedy, WA, 6174

How much does laser cutting cost?

It is difficult to give prices for laser cutting as it depends on many factors, including:

  • Type of material used

  • Amount of material used (charged per half sheet)

  • Thickness of material used

  • Cumulative distance of lines to be cut

  • Additional time spent to prepare files for cutting

  • Extras such as transfer tape

  • Postage costs

Due to the huge variation in price, we custom quote each job, no matter how big or small, rather than use set prices. We strive to provide same day quotes so you can quickly make an informed decision.

What is the largest size you can cut?

The largest size cut we currently offer is 500mm x 700mm.

What areas do you service?

As we offer an online quotation system and postage of completed projects, we are proud to offer Australia-wide service.
